CAMBRIDGE PLACE

Cambridge Place is "Your Place in the City".

Rising as a landmark community in Tanauan City, Cambridge Place is strategically located along J.P. Laurel Highway with easy access to various means of transportation.

Gather for a celebration at the community clubhouse. Go for a cooling dip at the pool. Curl up with a good book at a corner of the landscaped gardens. Or simply sit back and relax and watch the young ones at play.

Set amidst a relaxed countryside setting, Cambridge Place is a masterplanned community designed to give you the advantages of home and leisure. A view of Mt. makiling adds an interesting angle to
late afternoon walks, or a leisurely drive around the community.

Tanauan may have derived its name from the Tagalog term "tanaw" meaning "to view or to see." This is based on a fortress which had a watchtower built by the Augustinian friars and natives. The watchtower allowed them to monitor incoming "champans" or boats entering through the Pansipit river, which were either traders or pirates. From this tower, one can have a clear view (tanaw) of the lake and of the vast plains and rolling hills.

Tanauan may have also been named after a shrub called "tanawa" which grew abundantly in the and on the shores of "Lake Bonbon" (now Lake Taal) during the town's early history.

Cambridge Place in Tanauan City. Your place in the city...

Accessible in less than 2 hours south of Metro Manila, the City of Tanauan is a remarkable mixture of the old and the new, the historical and the modern. Revolutionary thinker Apolinario Mabini and former President Jose P. Laurel were born in Tanauan.

The city is the skydiving capital of the Philippines. The drop zone, between Mt. makiling and taal Volcano, showcases some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.
